Benefits provided by your Land Trust
The Cumberland and Trust's purpose is to preserve some of the natural resources of Cumberland for you and future generations including streams, ponds, wetlands, open space, working farms, scenic and natural sites, and historically significant properties, as well as indigenous plants and animals.
Memberships
The Cumberland Land Trust is a private, non-profit, charitable, conservation organization run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to preserve the natural resources of Cumberland for present and future generations by preserving land for open space.
Since our incorporation in 1989, we have helped to protect hundreds of acres of land acquired through purchase, donation, and conservation easements.
The Cumberland Land Trust is a member of The Land Trust Alliance, a national organization of land trusts, and works closely with The Nature Conservancy of RI, The RI Audubon Society, and the 43 other land trusts in the state.

Membership Form and Payment
We offer two payment options for either new or renewed memberships:
1. To pay for your membership by check, print out our Membership form,
fill in and mail to the address noted.
Memberships both new and renewals are open all year.
2. Click on the link to securely pay for your membership by credit card.
Together we can make a difference!
We don’t just acquire land with your help, we constantly monitor, create new marked trails and maps, keep it clean and safe for everyone to enjoy. Our volunteers are exceptional stewards of the land.
