CLT Legal advisor, John McCoy, retires as Board of Director to hold position on Town’s Zoning Board.
|
John P. McCoy, a director for more than ten years, has stepped down from his position with the land trust to serve on the Town’s Zoning Board. John is the Land Trust’s attorney providing all legal services to the organization, a position he will retain. John had been on a leave of absence since January 2005.
John is CLT’s representative for the Town’s Open Space Commission, serves on the steering committee for Cumberland’s Growth Management Plan, and sits on the Zoning Revisions Committee. John wrote the ordinance for the State Real Estate Conveyance Tax designating appropriations to fund education, recreation and open space and creating the Town’s first Open Space Commission.

John lives in Cumberland with his wife Jennifer and two sons. He is a partner with Carroll, Kelly & Murphy Law of Providence.
